Quality you control, not a fixed preset

Most compressors give you one button and a guess. Here you get a real quality slider with an immediate preview and byte count, so you can find the exact point where the file stops shrinking and starts degrading.

Format-aware compression

JPEGs are re-encoded at your chosen quality, PNGs are requantised to a smaller palette when it is lossless enough to do so, SVGs run through an optimiser that strips editor metadata and redundant path precision, and GIFs are recompressed frame by frame.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to compress them?

No. Compression runs in a Web Worker inside your browser using WebAssembly codecs. You can open your network inspector and confirm that no request carries your file.

How much smaller will my files get?

Photographs typically drop 60–85% at the balanced setting with no visible difference. Screenshots and flat-colour graphics saved as PNG often shrink further. Files already heavily compressed may only gain a few percent.

Does compressing remove EXIF data?

Yes. Camera metadata, including GPS coordinates, is discarded during re-encoding. That reduces file size and removes location data before you share the image.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no server limit because there is no server. The practical ceiling is your device memory — desktop browsers comfortably handle images above 100 MP, while mobile browsers are capped lower and will warn you before processing.
