The service
Photoclay provides free image-editing tools that run in your web browser. Processing happens on your device; we do not receive or store your files. We may add, change, or remove tools at any time.
Your content
You keep all rights to the images you edit. Because your files never reach us, we claim no license to them and cannot access them.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to edit and use any image you open with Photoclay, and for how you use the results.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Photoclay to:
- Create or distribute content that is illegal, or that infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.
- Harass, defame, or deceive others, including by creating misleading edited images of real people.
- Interfere with or disrupt the website, or attempt to access it by automated means at a scale that burdens it.
Automated tools
Background removal, face detection, and upscaling are powered by machine-learning models. They can miss details, make mistakes, or invent detail that was not in the original. In particular, face blurring may not detect every face — always review results before sharing images where privacy matters.
Intellectual property
The Photoclay name, logo, and website design belong to us. Open-source libraries and models used by the website remain the property of their authors and are used under their respective licenses.
No warranty
Photoclay is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the tools will be error-free, uninterrupted, or produce a particular result. Keep a copy of your original files.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of Photoclay. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
